Humility Is Knowing You’re Not in Control

Charlotte has reminded me of something uncomfortable: Competence does not equal control.

You can do everything right. You can research thoroughly. You can consult specialists. You can structure treatment perfectly. And outcomes are still uncertain.

In SBA lending and business leadership, this is equally true. You can analyze cash flow. Underwrite risk. Structure conservatively. But you cannot eliminate uncertainty.

Humility is not weakness. It is the recognition that control has limits. And responsibility continues anyway.
